*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Since 4.4.3 my battery life has gone too ****, and WiFi has been really spotty, going to try do another clean install tomorrow and see if it improves things. Anyone else experienced something similar.

I completely restore my phone back to stock every time an incremental update comes out, so from Purity 4.4.2 > Stock 4.4.3 > Purity 4.4.3. Haven't had any problems, a complete wipe usually helps my battery life too and my signal on 4.4.3 is great with the new radio. Couldn't be more chuffed with this phone again.

Does anyone know how to get the emoji symbols to show up on Facebook?

When using ios, you can select your emoji' from the keyboard, but on Android you can't.

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

You need to install a keyboard that allows the emoji plugin. I use Swiftkey as my primary keyboard, but switch to Kii Keyboard with Handcent Emoji Plugin whenever I need to use them.

Just got my new Nexus 5 today, not got a whole lot of time to play with it yet though.
Updated to 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 doesn't seem to be showing up for now but hey ho, I can wait a little.

What are the recommended screen protectors and cases/wraps?
Like to keep my phone as scratch free as possible.

Does the camera lens need a protector too?

Thanks all.

Hmmmm, my slickwrap skin hasn't shown up :( Order was shipped on the 2nd June.

How long did yours take stoosh?

Have ordered stuff from USA before and it has arrived within 6 days.

It took 7 days Mate...orders from Slickwraps usually arrive within 7-10 days so you're still within the timeframe.

Flashed the 4.4.3 ROM after completely wiping the device and returning it back to 4.4.2 stock and I have to say that the N5 runs even better now.

Battery life has improved quite considerably, this phone goes from strength to strength. I'll be very happy to run the N5 until the either the Nexus 6 or Android Silver phone appears.

Amazing phone. I love it....
