Another vs topic for me, dad wants a new phone, he currently has a HTC One, which is to small and to slow for him. ( how often I hear him swearing about small buttons, and about how slow and unresponsive it is.).

Important: Speed, Screen size ( bigger = better), battery ( must last a day of heavy use, including gps, loads of calls, constant mail checking, browsing and if possible : preferably longer like a day and a half). My dad is a messy user which doesn't shut down un-used apps so he really needs a powerful cpu and a lot of ram. Will be bundled with an unlimited calls/sms and 10gb 4g internet ( and unlimited 386 kbit after 10gb).

Not important: Camera, audio quality ( call quality must be good and loud though), looks, whatever gimmicks like sensors, size.

So which of the 2 ? The Nexus has a bigger screen, the Note has a nicer cpu. Is the Nexus 6 cpu sufficient ? I have a Z3 which is a bit sluggish sometimes, the Nexus 6 cpu isn't that much better from what I can see.

Are there any other contenders that offer the best of both worlds, 6'' ( or more) screen and an octa core cpu ?

After filtering on phonearena, what do you guys think of the upcoming Huawei P8 Max ?

Octacore, 6.7''...

If it's true that in the EU it's the same core as the nexus then I'm tempted to the Note 4.

I am disappointed with the Z3 build quality, and Sony's warranty support is rubbish ( have to send off phone for the smallest problem like the usb charging cap), I trust motorolla and Samsung more, all my Samsung phones have always taken huge abuse and worked without problems. My work phone, an S3, has had a cracked screen for over 2 years and still works perfect. My S4 has had an exposed mainboard ( and cracks from all 4 corners, missing huge pieces of glass) and still worked perfectly.
Just out of interest what price plan is that? Which provider?
Vodafone Red (super) in Holland. An alternative is KPN.

Oh, I've spoken to my dad, and performance is most important. So I'm leaning towards the note4.

Preferably large, but the best possible CPU & RAM ( not storage) amount is what I want.

Money is not a problem at all, as long as it's under 50-60 per month for 2 years.

He can't wait he wants the phone tomorrow or the day after at most :p.

He dropped his HTC One and since that drop his screen is cracked and sometiems his mic doesn't work.

So, anything against the Note 4 ?

I found various webshops that offer both the Exynos (N910C) and the Qualcomm( N910F) versions, I can pick the Exynos octa if I want.

EDIT:

The N910C ( exynos) seems to have better RAM and app bench results, while the Qualcomm seems to have better 3d results ?
Exynos is the way to go then, yes ?
