Nexus 7 : Auto Rotation Issue

Got my nexus around 2 weeks ago. Today it's auto rotation feature has stopped working.

Once in landscape mode it refuses to return to portrait

Have Amy of you experienced this?

Has the auto feature turned off somehow ? top right hand corner think its in there.

I had a similar issue on my Nexus 7 (2013), even tried a full factory reset but this didn't work so I ended up having to get a replacement unit.

The auto rotate feat has never been turned off.

Done some digging around and it looks as though this is a common issue/ real shame as I really like this thing. Question is whether I replace this or replace it for a different tablet..

I bought a Nexus 7 three weeks ago - just checked it and it seems ok - not noticed any hesitancy in going to either format.

Sorry to hijack this but wife has just asked me if it's safe to do online banking with Tablet - it is on a secure wifi signal and has AVG on it - anything else I should load to it. ?

Took it back to Argos and they replaced without any stress.

Me too - had a v1 from John Lewis about 18 months ago. I experienced the exact same issue as you have described so took it back. After a good 30 mins trying to explain the issue to their support staff in-store, they agreed to send it back to Asus.

It apparently had a replacement gyro fitted - whatever they did, it's been fine for the last 7 months
