I Hear a lot of recommendations of the Nexus 7 as it is Google's own device and they get the latest updates, it has the best screen etc. I can pick it up for £180 but it seems a bit hefty for a 7 inch tablet. Are there better alternatives? I want to use the tablet for browsing and watching youtube videos, using Facebook etc.

I have noticed Nvidia's Tegra Note 7 which sells for £130 and seems to be a pretty good deal. Have any of you had any experience with this and whether it is worth buying? It come's with pretty good stylus technology and is apparently good for gaming. I'm not sure if the gaming is really significant as most games will run fine on the Nexus.

Any opinions welcome!

Not a lot can beat the Nexus 7 as its probably the best tablet for the money. The Note 7 is best for gaming, the screen is lower resolution compared to the Nexus it was up for £99.99 recently or check out the Tesco Hudl tablet.

I've got a Tegra Note 7 and am very happy with it. I use it for youtube, facebook, casual gaming and sketching and it copes with them all very easily. I also like to listen to music while I'm doing anything except watching youtube and it multitasks without any trouble at all. I've got into the habit of using the stylus for everything now, it's just so much more accurate than my sausage like fingers :D

Good to know. I took a look at them both at the retailer and the Nexus was very nice, but it isn't really worth paying all that extra money for a better screen and a slightly better version of the OS. Plus, the tegra has a lot of great features the Nexus doesn't.
