Nexus 7 or Galxy note 2?

As the title says really, I am looking for a bump in screen size for work to read magazines and comics on and dont know wether to get the tablet or just get the note 2 phone so I am not carrying 2 devices with me. My next question would be could I put my own "rips" of comics and mags onto the galaxy note 2 or do I have to buy from an official app? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The Nexus 7 3G version is a no-brainer.

The Nexus 10 doesn't have 3G yet which is really annoying.

No need for nexus7 3g if you have android phone already as you can just do a tether hotspot from it and tether your nexus 7.
I also recommend the Nexus 7 very well priced device and is perfect for comics.
Teamed up with Perfectviewer app and you are set to go.
Marvel do plenty of legal comics. Your own rip works fine and I recommend the perfectviewer app.
Note 2 isn't something you shouldn't consider though but only get it if you plan to use it as a main phone as well.

I have the note 2 and i love it! i use it as a phone, texting is easy and has the option for a one handed keyboard if you cant use two hands for whatever reason at the time. Its big enough to surf the internet and quick enough. I wouldn't type office docs on it but making notes with the keyboard is easy enough and the stylus is amazing for those quick ideas you may have to jot down just like a pen and paper.

Thanks guys, I got the note 2 and I love it! It seemed massive at the time but now looking at my old Iphone 4s makes me wonder how I survived with such a tiny screen. I rooted it day one and I cant believe it took me this long to jump from apple to android.
