I'm thinking of getting this case for:
Conroe E6600
Probably Intel Badaxe Mobo
IceQ3 X1900xt
Scythe Ninja

I've read great reviews for the PSU, the case sounds decent too - Silence is one of the nice bits about it.

Is it good? £130ish inc. 500Watt PSU...
Will heat be a big issue, seeing as only the PSU and perhaps the GPU exhausting out. I like the looks, just need to know if it's worth the deal.

Will be OC E6600 to 3.2 to 3.6ish, so kinda worried about heat.
 
Yes, it's a very good case. The PSU is very good, probably worth £60-£80 on it's own, making the case excellent value.

You are saying £130, but I have seen it for £115 so it might be worth Froogleing it.

That's my other option, but with a Seasonic 500W.

I'm sure the E6600 wouldn't break a sweat but I do turn my pc on for 24/7 and just wondering if the case temp will build up and gets "trapped" in.

Also, the HDD is not really cooled from the diagram Nexus provided on their site, perhaps a HDD enclosure and put it in the 5.25" bay?

The silence reviewed on this case is excellent on many sites, I've my CPU 8" away from my bed....
 
The problem with Core 2 Duo's is that no-one actually has a retail chip yet, so no-one can tell you what they will be like.

It will be cooler than any intel chip you currently have, but possibly not as cool as the coolest AMD chips (although if it's not running 100% it will throttle back to the lower VCore and run cooler still.

As for running a massively overclocked chip 24/7 and expecting silence I would suggest you prepare for a disappointment or get your chequebook out.

I have a Koolance PC-3/725 which is a Lian-Li V1000 with a dual 120mm radiator in the top. They now made a PC4-725 which has a triple 120mm radiator in *** top and they claim it will extract more than 1kW of thermal energy. On a cool day t is near as darn silent and I like it very much, but on a hot night the fans ramp up a bit and you can definitely hear it.

Massive overclocking means big cooling, so insulated cases are not a good idea. Get an Akasa Eclipse and some 120mm Ambers and 7V mod the fans. Then get a Thermaltake Big Typhoon and 7V that fan too. That'll be near as darn silent and it'll keep your processor cool, whatever the overclock.

Don't forget you also need to cool the PWM/VRM on Intel boards and you might want to invest in a board with at least a dual, or quad VRM/PWM system to make sure you don't need it actively cooled.
 
Hmm... I would think clocking the E6600 to 3.2-3.6 is massive overclock, is it?

See, the Akasa is best for cooling but over budget if I inc a PSU...

Anyone any idea how cool their system is in the Nexus Breeze case?
 
That chip is 2.4Ghz stock, so yes, I would say a 50% overclock is 'massive'. The PWM bridge is going to be very hot, and each RAM stick is quite likely to be too hot to touch, so you will be generating a load of heat.

I would also recommend upgrading the graphics cooler as they are usually quite noisy from stock.

The case is designed for silence, not peformance and so you're not going to get a lot of extra fan capacity in there without wrecking the low dB count.

We ran a stock 3.2GHz P4 in a Nexus Breeze and it was fine with an AC Freezer 4 (very quiet) and 4 samsung hard disks in it. The graphics card was passively cooled if I recall correctly and the whole thing was extremely quiet.
 
Hmm... looks like I'd have to think twice - reason I like that is the looks of the case, the price + PSU. The silence is also very appealing...

I might just stick with the PC-7+ with a Seasonic 500.

The HiS IceQ cooler is apparently better than the stock, the price is also nice IMO.
