I decided to give this ago after seeing Neils recommendation. I downloaed and played the demo but couldnt work out what the heck was going on.
Anyone played this game? Is there a tutorial or a slower learning curve?

If the demo is anything to go on the game could be great if i knew what was going on.
 
Just start from the beginning of the story. It gets you into the game pretty slowly. The difficulty will ramp up later on. Generally, just focus on one ship and micromanage as much as possible.
 
The demo probably dumps you into a mission 5 or 6 in, to give you a better view of the game. I remember it being pretty complex, but it does ease you into it iirc.
 
Wasn't the demo a much older version?

But anyway the full game does start off slow but as it progresses you get pulled in with the wow factor. Great story and graphics
 
Amazing game! really do wish for a second one but i doubt it will ever happen.

Anyone happen to know of any decent mods for it? any multiplayer coop skirmish ones or anything?
 
agreed, awesome game and the visuals were beautiful. how annoying were those mechanoid things though?! the angelwing is an awesomely elegant ship as well :)
 
Would have been even better if they had stuck with the intended game - Imperium Galactica 3! Would have been some epic space battles. So much potential. Still a great game though.
 
I bought the game years ago, and then downloaded it off of steam last year, just for old times sake. It's a gem, but it needed rather more polishing than it got. Shame really. :(

The mission logic and difficulty was way out of whack. :p
 
I didnt like how one minute you were in your own part of space, then all of sudden you were in a far reach of space
