A New York City police officer has been found guilty of plotting to murder his wife, and cook and eat other women.

In light of the above story...what are the most interesting things you've every eaten, when and where was it and was it good?

Off the top os my head I can only think of a few which are slightly off ther beaten path of 'normal' food.

Kangeroo steaks. I tea-smoked them then roasted them and ate them with an unleaven bread made with marmite and bitter. It was a lovely meal!

If I were less of a gentleman I might make some joke about plenty of husbands having eaten their wives. Good job that I'm not so uncouth as that.

Most unusual thing I guess was sheep brain scrambled with green chillies and spices.

Most disgusting thing was Surströmming. The various youtube videos of people trying it and then struggling not to vomit are actually understatements in regards to how vile the smell is.

I spent three weeks in Aus, and didn't eat Kangeroo

Weirdest thing I've eaten is Zebra. A friend in Halls at Uni brought in some Zebra jerky from his parents trip to South Africa, it tasted a lot like beef jerky.

At a friends stag-do, I had some sheeps brain curry. The thought of it wasn't nice, but it didn't taste too bad actually.
At a recent meal out, I had duck heart which was just that sitting in a consomme. Very nice.

We did something similar...12 of us outside with various bowls of water and shots of schnapps on-hand. The smell actually made the *outside* uninhabitable for around an hour. We had to retreat inside to escape it *vomit smiley*

It's good stuff. You should try it

The title shouldn't be but the content of the OP was more about unusual foods (which is an odd follow-on from the news article, I'll admit).

Nothing really that exotic. I've had a kangaroo and aligator burger from a worlds market. Both were reasonably good, though the aligator was a fairly unusual flavour.

Thats about as adventurous as I've gotten

Have had whale. Absolutely delicious
