Recorded the game last night then got up at half 4 to watch it before work.
It was a decent enough game. Mainly it was a game of 2 decent offenses against 2 poor defences.
I think most people expected the Steelers defence to be poor, and the secondary certainly didn't disappoint in that regard but I was surprised by the Pats defence. If any other team had the roster turnover that the Patriots have had (losing the likes of Wilfork, Revis and countless others) then you would expect a drop in performance. But with Belichick you always assume that he'll fix things. Didn't look like it last night.
Biggest difference between the 2 teams I thought was the amount of options Brady had. He spread the ball around to a bunch of different targets, whereas the Steelers were pretty much stuck with throwing to Antonio Brown and Heath Miller.
Losing away to the Patriots is never a disaster, but there was a few worrying signs for the Steelers. Last year was bad, but this is probably the worst secondary I have ever seen. Antwon Blake in particular was painful to watch.
On the plus side only 3 more games till Bryant is back!!
