NFL 2018 Season

Looks like Mixon will be missing at least a few weeks if not the season with his knee :(

We were 7/2 last season when he was playing and got 15+ carries, he has a huge impact on the team so hopefully it's a short injury.

Or do I need to spoiler that as well in case someone hasn't read last night's news? :p

It's the day after the game

Some of us watch the games, Christ at times we have rolling chats as the games go on.
The game finished at 4 or 5 am. Are you seriously telling me that you expect most British fans to have stayed up and watched the game at that time

As for rolling chats, they happen when the games are during the evening.

The thread doesn't have a spoiler warning, and so far - until you came along - spoilers were tagged.

I'm not sure why you're quoting that at me? Maybe be more specific? If something has aired, it's no longer a spoiler is the basic rule. If you're commenting (in TV/Movie terms) on a rumour you heard or how something happens in the comic, that's a spoiler.

  1. Spoiler tags are NOT REQUIRED when discussing shows that have aired in the UK already, INCLUDING early morning i.e. 2AM showings on Sunday nights/Monday mornings.

The game has aired...

As I said, if you know a game has been played and you've not seen it, as far as I can tell, that's up to you to not come into this thread. In other words, it's Friday morning, what else comment is likely to have been posted but a comment on the game that happened a few hours ago?

If you don't want to talk about or know a score then don't come into the thread?

Under your logic we may as well tag every post, in every thread on this forum with spoilers as you can never know if someone is up to date.

I didn't watch the game last Thursday, I had this magic idea to not pop into the thread until I had watched it just in case. As I also didn't go on NFL website until I had watched the game.

have to say i was panicking in the 1st quarter against the raiders, i was disapointed with the defence last season, all the money spent and we were shown up again at the start.

still not sure about wade phillips, we're still getting exposed badly on defence.

On that run by lynch we had one defender jumping on the pack pushing it forward and talib pulling on the ball trying to free it and failing, so helping lynch into the end zone arghhhhhh.

That run was amusing, watched the clip a few times and had a good chuckle.

I would have Rams up there alongside Vikings and Pats as probs my favourites.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!

Great first game!

I'd appreciate if you say which games you're talking about :)

There have been some great first games though. Just now watching the Vikings line up the last kick of the game for a FG attempt at 29-29.

Have to feel a little sorry for the Browns, what a TD to Coleman on 4th and 5... wow. Great back and forth at the end.

Ha ha... okay, the Vikings just missed... tied game... another wow.

It's been a day for missed kicks!

The Chiefs Steelers game looked interesting, lots of points and reasonably close. Atlanta Carolina game looked mainly one sided until near the end.

The Jags Pats game could be interesting. I would have thought Pats by 10, but they're looking good early on.

It was the Chiefs V Steelers that was brilliant, didn't want to be too specific incase our resident sensitive soul isn't watching until mid next week but intends to read the thread :p

Mahomes was amazing, nigh on faultless QB performance though it helped that the Steelers seemingly had no secondary.

Browns missing again is hilarious, disappointed for the Vikings as I want them to do really well this year.

Jags have came out the blocks as well, still can never decide if I should like or loathe Bortles but hes putting it up today. What a freaking catch as well, Beckham eat your heart out.

Yeah, it was an amazing catch.

Whilst not happy my Redskins underperformed, I love these first few weeks where you're trying to work out which teams are actually good this season, or was it the opposition is actually bad (Ravens Bills week 1...) or who just got a little lucky :)

Man the Giants O Line is pathetic :p

What was up with the guy quitting at half time as well!

One thought thats occured with the Pats apparently trading for Gordon. Why? You have Bryant as a free agent who was/is still a pretty hot reciever unless I missed something? Taking an injury prone druggy over Bryant seems strange.

No shock seeing Viks Ditch their kicker and going for Bailey, was strange he didn't have a club at the start of the season as it is.
