NFL 2024 season

Been a Giants fan since '85-'86, I've no idea how we've gone from 4-13 last year to 6-2 so far other than luck, with all of our wins being within 1TD, usually scored within the last quarter. It's definitely made the season so far seem crazy for so many teams.

Whilst you've definitely been in close, one possession games, I do think Brian Daboll is a big part of it. He's managed to get the best out of a few players, including Jones. Having a healthy Barkley available is also a considerable plus.

I feel like Barkley has looked like a different player this year. I didn't ever see him in college, but I've never really been that impressed/concerned by him until this season.

I remember him have a very good rookie year and winning those awards. Feel he's a massive talent but injuries got in the way. But he is definitely playing well atm.

Wow, that was a **** show last night! Throwing it away after a 27-10 lead at the half. Stupid decisions and mistakes from everyone. Not taking the FG, Lewis going for the pick on 4th and 15 when all he had to do was swat it down which lead to them getting a TD, JA going for the hero ball into the endzone at the end, turnover and TD at the goal line etc. Fair play to the Vikings for capitalising on the mistakes, but we did everything in our power to lose that game. Now we're third in the division!

I guess it was a good one for the neutrals though..

Yeah, one of the most amazing games to watch in recent time tbh. As Scott Hansen said, the swing back and forth of probability was pretty crazy.

As a Commanders fan, I almost can't believe we knocked off the undefeated Eagles in Philly... everything just seemed to go our way, which is not something I'm used to at all! We actually looked good on both sides of the ball.

Looks like the Bills are going to be playing at the Ford Field twice in a week. There is a massive snow storm due to hit Buffalo over the weekend so the Browns game has been moved for a Lake Erie showdown in Detroit!

Packers fan here, it looks like our season is as good as over. Our offense has been miss-firing but our defence has just stopped showing up. Joe Barry has to go. Injuries have plagued us but there is still so much defensive talent on the field for us and it's just not happening.

Yeh, it's not been pretty recently, scraping through at the end etc. I was a bit worried about the Lions to be fair as they've got a bit of confidence recently.

Great results all round this weekend. Bills beat the Pats, then the Dolphins, Jets and Chiefs all lose! Back at number 1 seed! :D

Really strong division! Still can't believe the Jets are 7-5 really and would be amazing to see them in the post season! Some tough fixtures coming up, especially this Sunday against the Bills.

A Bills vs Eagles superbowl would be amazing.

49ers have an elite D and lots of super star weapons on offense. The only thing they lacked coming into the year was a QB. But they did look measurably better with Jimmy Garoppolo starting. Now they are very lucky to have found a QB that enables them to win. Some teams don't even have one on the books!

If they keep playing at this level I wouldn't be surprised to see them reach another SB. I think they matchup well against anyone.

I'd be reasonably sure if Purdy had been drafted by 50% of the teams in the NFL he really wouldn't be doing very well. SF have good coaches, lots of supporting talent and a good system.

That's true. And we've seen crappy QBs ride good teams to Championship Games and Super Bowls. Although to counter that we've also seen QBs fail in multiple teams before. So I do wonder if he has something about him.

If something special does happen this year and he proves himself it creates a good problem for the Niners. They could trade away from Lance if they wanted to - albeit never get that draft capital back. But I don't think that matters in the circumstances.

Not following the Niners too much, how much of Lance have we seen? Is he not the guy?

Also, I there are others (like my brother) that didn't realise there are games on this evening, I would suggest avoiding results and watching the Vikings v Colt game. I'll leave it at that now and avoid spoilers...

Okay, I guess me avoiding spoilers for those that didn't know games were on is unnecessary then

Edited it out after seeing your post.

It didn't occur to me that we are a day off usual schedule - I'm too used to reading this thread and seeing discussion about the results.
