Nforce 2 asus and ram

Is 2x 1GB DDR ram sticks ok in an Asus Nforce 2 board? or would 3x 512mb be ok ? this is more regarding how the board handles ram rather than ram amount

IIRC the board will switch to single channel mode with 3 sticks of ram. Stick to 2 Sticks

2*1gb Sticks should be fine.

I doubt you'll be able to run CAS2 with 1gig sticks on nForce2, as I cannot with two 1gig XMS 3500LL Pro sticks. Memtest comes up with errors at the end of test #5 with CAS2. It's fine with 2.5
3 sticks will still work in dual channel, biggest has to go into slot 3 for it to work and so on.
