Hi,

I am having the same problem with 2 different motherboards but use the same NF4 AMD chipset.

Simply, when installing the NForce driver pack the audio component is not being installed and device manager just lists "Multimedia Audio Controller" with the yellow question mark icon.

I remember using a Realtek driver a year or so ago with an NF4 motherboard? Is this what's required now? I also remember the NVidia driver working though :/

Any ideas, is this a common issue?

If i remember rightly the Audio drivers are independant of the Nforce 4 chipset drivers. You need to install the Realtek drivers as you mentioned in your post.

Yeh I've been annoyed by this for a while now - it says the audio driver is included in the package but it doesn't work and you have to get the audo driver seperately. It used to work fine a few versions ago  . Anyway, the audio driver on its own, which does work, is here.
