Hey

Just a quickie, in device manager its showing a exclamation mark for the ethernet controller but my internet is working fine. Im running a DFI Lanparty Nforce 4 so i just download the Nvidia Nforce drivers and assume thats all i need.

Can anyone help me

Tnx

Ir prob.just windo$e getting confused, i would go to the ! and then reinstall/update driver and point it to the ini. Normally found at C:\NVIDIA\NFORCE XXXX or C:\NFORCE XXXX prob. need a restart after. If that fails than the old start in safe mode. delete all ethernet connections and reinstall once back in normal windo$e. That said sometimes windo$e gets confused and might think another device is an ethernet device when its not, these typically can be modems, add on PCI cards et al, at which point it can be a bugger to know what it is.

Hi Sam,

Sorry if you have already resolved this issue, But i have a DFI Lanparty board and it has 2 Ethernet Ports on it. Is it just that only one of these is recognised in Device Manager and the other one is not. Hence, why you are online, yet still showing a port as not recognised?

Hope this helps somewhat.

Regards

Mick
