Just reinstalled this and I'm using a [They're a competitor] joytech PS2 convertor. When I start the game, the automatically turn right and I can't seem correct it.
I've tried callerbrating it in wnidows but it doesn't help, its nothing to do with using a D-pad or the analogue pad so i'm stumped how to get this to work.

The PS2 pad worked fine when I played it with the demo, but since getting this game installed it doesn't do what I want it to do.

Any ideas?

First up: edit your post to remove the competitor link.

As for your problem, I remember reading something about people having problems with ps2 adapters, something to do with multiport adapters and having the pad plugged in the wrong port or something?

If the cars always go right have you tried adjusting the tracking? Had that happen with my car and the garage sorted it out for me!

Wasnt it that you had to remove the 2nd port from device manager for it to work? Or add another PS2 pad to the spare port to remove the 'movement' of the first to the right?

ps3ud0

how far right? my ps2 pad did this on most wanted but its because the drivers dont support any deadzones so the slightest off centre and your buggered.

I remember that if i went into sleep mode and played a racing game when i woke the computer the controls get really messed up when you touch the pedals or wheel (if you have one) and thats on a lot of games not just car games. Had to reboot comp to fix it.

I had the same problem with my xbox360 controller.

As someone said above its the control not being in the deadzone and hence turning you right slightly.

I fixed it by calibrating my control for NFS:C through a program called Pinnacle Game Profiler. It costs £10 but means you can use your control in any game which is great. I can now play splinter cell and hitman as if it were on the xbox and when I'm lazy grinding on WoW i can pretty much pay no attention and just hit a few joystick buttons! :D

But yeah its def your deadzones :)

My 360 pad worked just fine for carbon and most wanted. I have to admit the sensitivity needed turning down but it didn't pull insanely to one direction. My pad works fine on Hitman blood money too.

Just as an update. I plugged in 2 controllers to both inputs on the USB PS2 adapter and the controls work sweet as!
Strange.....the car drives how i want it to and i can control everything on the map with using my PS2.
