hey everyone, i dont post too often around these parts but do really enjoy just skulking around and reading all the interesting threads, today i come to you in need of assistance with need for speed most wanted, im wondering if anyone has a full game completion of 100% and if so how did they complete the rediculously challenging tollbooth time trails in the challenge series?!?!, so far i have made it to challenge 43 and have to finish the time trial using a minivan,

its impossible! my racing line is near on perfect the whole time and im always falling short right at the end by atleast afew seconds! if anyone can give me afew tips here id be really happy!

thanks in advance

I have played the game but not got that far - but is there any shortcuts your missing? Or had a look on google for say a map of the track u are taking?

Sorry cant help much :(

I have a full 100% all complete save.
I found the tollbooth times to be the easier targets to beat. Some cop chases on there gave me much more of a challenge. It probably helps that toll races are my favourite, however :)

Just keep at it, you will eventually find a better way of taking that tight corner, or a nicer place to use your N2O.

tbh toll booth trials are all about the speed you can carry through the corners

you want a nice smooth line, no bumping into anything, but yet dont overbrake as you'll lose too much speed

its just a matter with experimenting how late you can leave the braking :D

i never brake unless its a corner exceeding 90 degrees, i have my driving down to a tee, jus now i drove the whole thing taking all the fastest shortcuts and routes and didnt hit a thing, i still cant do it! its impossible i tell you! its driving me insane!!

Later on the races get impossible, I had a souped up Lambo, with the "never ending Nitro" cheat, basically you have to be perfect in every corner. It's easy earlier on, as the nitro gives you a big advantage.

Stupid unrealistic game.

That it might be, but thats why we all love it, and the reason why it always tops the charts as soon as its released, due to it being multi-format and everyone loving how it all works.

What im after is if there is any special patches for the Nvidia 7-series to make it look top whack? Or maybe an Nvidia profile whatever that is?

Are we thinking of the same game here? NFS:MW is an arcade racer so is by implication somewhat unrealistic but it is a fairly easy game at that, sure it is time consuming but there wasn't anything particularly difficult about it.

As long as you don't play pinball round all the corners you should be able to manage the tollbooth races after a few goes. The most irritating thing was getting the cops to chase you for 30 minutes or whatever it was then lose them, I kept getting to 28 minutes then somehow getting flipped over or losing them completely.

Xink if you could wait 3 weeks until I get back to a decent PC then I could do the race for you and send you a save game back but I doubt that is an option for you. The only way to do it is a bit of practice but it shouldn't be that hard if you can keep your speed through the corners and not hit cars or walls. Sorry this isn't massively helpful but when I last played it the game didn't seem very hard.

The nitrous should be used for pelting it round corners so you don't slow down a lot. I think this is what the AI uses when in "catch up" mode.

I didn't realise you could also re-run races you've already completed from previous black list opponents. You then get the cash again so it helps when trying to build up your latest car.
