NFS:MW for 360 - any good?

As per title really, is Need For Speed : Most Wanted any good? Have found it for £12.99 for the 360 so seems like quite a good deal unless it really is bad!

Its okay, but the AI cheating, clipping issues and crazy street racer plot will drive you mad.

A lot of people didn't like it, personally it was one of my most played early 360 games. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Catch-up can be annoying I agree, but you also benefit from it if you are behind, plus it would be a pretty dull game if you were miles in front all the time.

Yep, I did some experimentation. A good place to test is large bends or complex turns. If you can get far enough ahead so that the opponent arrow on the radar touches the edges and then get around the bend, you will see the arrow magically break through all the barriers and form up on the edge of the radar behind you.

Thus it doesn't matter how good you are, its down to luck and patience. Its also annoying when you're in a maxed out Mercedes hurtling down a stretch at 200mph and you get overtaken by a Fiat Punto. Watch how it doesn't matter how much you use the nitros, the other cars match it.

I had to give up on NFS:MW. I got to 5 in the blacklist and just couldn't get any further. Partly down to a crap car setup probably and my completely hopeless driving. The barriers seem to attract me like a fly to amber.

I seem to remember being able to turn off catch up on the Need for Speed Undergrounds, or was that just for single races?

I got it for under £15 it's annoying at times, currently trying to do the bounty missions on blacklist 7 but keep getting boxed in by the feds.

But overall it is decent...

I've only played the PC version but I found it thoroughly enjoyable. Stuck on blacklist nr2 though

MW is infuriatingly fun most of the time - other times its just annoying

Currently stuck on Blacklist no5 also, not only do they start putting spikes under the cars in a roadblock (so its pot luck if you hit them or not) but also some roadblocks that you would easily get thru suddenly stop you dead and the ONE car chasing you immediatly blocks you in about 2 seconds flat.

Played MW to death on the ps2, best nfs ever imo. Played carbon at a friends recently, had a shot on 2 player and the fps were terrible and the graphics :confused:

, was a really terrible game. Glad I never shelled out 40 notes for it.

Dunno what your on about, if anything i didnt find any of those issues when playing my copy...actually loved it considering the next installement Carbon was a pile of crap and the AI cheating in that was pathetic and atrocious.

Great game i found, one of the best NFS games ive played in a long time...MW that is. Easy 1000 pts as well..
