NFS SHIFT 2 OR WAIT FOR DIRT 3 ?

To be honest i play fps mostly but occasional like a good blast behind the wheel, that's why i've got nfs most wanted, grid, and dirt 2. Bought nfs carbon for son and original underground i'm not impressed but he's 12 so right up his street. Ign gave shift 2 an 8.5 and custom pc gave it a thumbs up but if it is anything like the first shift demo that i tried i couldn't keep the dam car even driving straight i'll steer clear of it even if it's only £15.00 !! Put that towards dirt 3 when it gets reduced in a few weeks/month or so. Just like to be able to pick up controller and drive without messing with to many settings. Online's probably already ruined by hacks or idiots like grid was anyway.

One thing I DO like about shift though apart from sheer graphics and detail of course, but how well they have captured the tracks it a is nice the contours and bumps are very life like. Donnington park in particular, though slightly disapointed it is the old layout

Noticed from recommended specs that gpu ati from 6000 series, but i would've thought my 5870 wasn't good enough yet to game on high settings. Or is it really time to start saving for a replacement?

AMD has been in bed with Codemasters for a while so of course they are gonna recommend the best GPU for the game so players can have fun with the best possible visual experience ;)

5870 will be fine on Dirt 3....

Also notice that you get Dirt 2 free if you pre-order Dirt 3 from Steam so thats two games for less than £27.... Although you said you already have it but can transfer the license to a friend and get them involved for some online races or something.
