Not mine I just found them on my travels whilst trying to see what is wrong as the game hangs @ 99% from original DVD or via Origin as you can download from there instead but both hang @ 99%. This is a slight issue
as its almost 16GB of data or 32GB if you tried DVD then download
•You need to first create a new folder as "NFSTR" on your hard-disk
then copy all the files from your Disc 1 and Disc 2 into that
folder.
•Some things you need to take care of while copying the files are
that you should not put NFS The Run DVD in your drive. Just start
Origin then click "Ready to Download". Now, wait for the download to
start then let it download a few seconds. The game folder will be
created automatically after Origin has downloaded a few MB.
•Now, go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games" and make sure
there is a folder having the name "Need for Speed The Run Limited
Edition"
•Go back to your origin, then pause the download and exit Origin by
right clicking the origin icon from the system tray.
•Open the folder "NFSTR" and extract the file "data.zip". During
extraction, just ignore the errors. Just wait for the extraction to
complete.
•Go into the "Data" folder, you will find another "Data" folder
inside that folder. Copy these two folders, "__Installer" and "Data"
into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Need for Speed The Run
Limited Edition".
•Once this is done, you can Start Origin and then continue the
download. Origin will automatically update the status from 0% to
99%. Now just wait for origin to download the rest and once its
completed, it will run an installing process.
•Now you only have to wait till the installation completes.
You should not see a "ready to install" button during the normal
game download flow in Origin.
Or this is another fix if that does not work
1.Head to your game download folder. If it is the default one it
should look like
•C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Need for Speed The Run Limited Edition
2.Find Need for Speed the Run.exe.
3.If it looks instead like Need for Speed the Run.exe_DiP_STAGED,
remove the _DiP_STAGED part from the game .exe
4.You should now be able to install NFS The Run without getting stuck.
