Wow borrowed need for speed off a mate. Had Underground 2 for my pc and loved it. How Carp is the 360 one. Its no where near as smooth or as good looking as underground 2 on my gt6800. Frankly I think it looks and plays awfull.

For me it doesnt look half as smooth as PGR and seems rushed. Shame, my mate can have it back. Atleast I never spent £40 on it :D

I have a 6800gt (overclocked in factory gainward model) in my AMD 64 3500+ PC with 1GB Corsair Ram and the 360 plays it pretty much just as well framerate wise, but has even better visuals.

wow well my 360 must be in the death throws then because the framerate was all over the place coming rapidly towards corners. The cars dont look as good either compared to my old pc version of NFSU2.

Oh well never mind. Shame I hve literally nothing new to play til motogp comes out :(

I thought it was a decent racer, just a very repetitive after a while. The frame rate on the 360 definitely skips when turning though.

Yeah thats what I thought, perhaps ive been spoilt playing so much pgr. But I felt it wasnt even alf as good as PGR in racing fun.

I may just buy fifa for something to play ;)

It is a good game, but it could have been even better, if they didn't have catch up mode. Which lets the game down all the way :(
lets any game down, turns it from a skill based challenge into a test of memory and repetition. Dont know why they still use it, geuss cos they still cant do good AI, does my nut tho.

I had it on SLI 7800GTX's and an FX-57 and it still ran dodgily.

Hmm at what settings?! It runs at 60fps on my aged Geforce4 if you turn down the detail a bit. I imagine you are running at some uber resolution with max AA/AF or something.

I'm guessing it looks nothing like the 360 or a high end PC version though as that card you have wont be capable of producing the fancy effects in the game.

True, the shadows option is greyed out IIRC (haven't played it for months). At least the PC version isn't capped at 30fps which having played the Xbox demo of NFSMW, makes such a big difference to smoothness and playability, for me :)

dont get me wrong it was running at 60fps and up, but that didnt make it smooth, the game was poorly coded, caching of textures was very unoptimised, the rendering engine was clunky and thus it jerked about at times. But as has been stated full auto was far worse than this on the 360 (i had both PC ver then 360 when i sold PC) not as bad as a lot of you are making out, but yeah a repetetive game.

i didnt notice any framrate issues myself, this is the only 360 titles ive sold though, mainly cos the online part wasnt all that good and i had completed it.

Was still a good game though, but i like running away from coppers :D
