NFSUG2 Resolutions?

Hi just a quick question but does anyone know if this games resolution can be changed to display 1680x1050 or 1920x1080? been looking round the web but cant find a solution? went to widescreen gaming website but doesnt list this game, just Carbon and MW, thanks for any info

I recently looked at this too, WSGF wasn't much help, and the existing resolution changers seem to only work with Carbon and Most Wanted. Unless there's a patch that rectifies this, I suggest just setting it to something sensible and using your displays/gfx scaling.

I thought about this to but as im running the pc through a 50" samsung plasma i dont seem to be able to access the graphics card scaler, all the options to it are greyed out? my card is a BFG 8800GTXocd card, most of my other games look great at 1920x1080 as they support this resolution but when playing NFSUG2 the most it will go to is somthing like 1600x1000 i think not sure tho, this looks really squashed and not playable. Thanks for the help tho.........

I will try the patcher from WSGF that the link points to by the other poster and see if that works, the games a classic and one of my favourite titles so heres hoping

in order for UniWS to work you need to be using a no-CD cracked .exe for the game

the problem for me is that when i do this the game crashes every-other time it loads something (a race, going to explore mode, a shop etc...)

Thats strange as the game loads and runs fine for me, where are you getting your no-cd exe from i used the first one from gamecopyworld and had no probs..........

Nvidia broke the drivers ages ago on 8800 series for HDTV scaling and never fixed it. Used to drive me nuts on my old 8800GTX. I now have an ATI 4850 & 4870 and both have perfect scaling on my HDTV via HDMI. Think scaling only works on either DVI or HDMI anyway. VGA may not be supported as its an analog connection.

You need to make sure you have the correct EA patches installed as well as the correct no cd patch. Works perfect for me.
