I recently got this cooler for my birthday and just wanted to share with you people some of my findings, also a little help with my overclocking.

I am in love with the D14; i upgraded from an old H50 (push/pull SP120's) .

Before:

After:

The temps are so much better, had it running at 4.4 on the H50 though the temps were a bit high.

The D14 has no problems with it.

Nearly 15C less.. Crazy.

And i went higher

4.5Ghz

4.6Ghz

Just playing around with my OC settings at the moment.

Apart from 4.6Ghz, All the rest were tested for around 4 hours each, the 15 minutes bursts you see ae just to show you the top temps, as i found the top temp was normally reached in the first 15 minutes of testing.

What do you all think? On your way out to buy a D14 yet? :)

Damn decent temps for air. My water loop gets to 63c at 4.7ghz on the hottest core. How fast have you got the fans?

NF P12 - 1300
NF P14 - 1200
NF S12 - 1200

That's full for all of them. :)

Amazingly quiet too considering.

Though my front intake fan (only other fan) is at Half speed as it's damn load on high.

Me I'm a git... :)

Yeah best to check first but the PWM fans are a great addition if you have to pay £6.

Im pretty sure your not a git... Well, maybe. :)

I didn't know this before I bought mine. It may of pressured me to go down that route. Though it does sound like you got lucky. The mouting Kits are only £5-£6 anyway. Depends which one is on offer at the time.

Back on subject, not tried IBT test, should I? What benefits does it have over prime?

it just gets the cpu as hot as it can be,esp on maximum stress,i like to use ibt for quick stability check and prime95 for longer testing

So achieving high temps on IBT is not a sign that you need to pull back, its just what it does?

So IBT makes sure your CPU won't blow up and prime makes sure it won't crash under stress? Sounds fair...

It may be that they are moving (ever so slightly) when the ramp up then and brushing the heatsink..

That would explain it..

Though i could have just made that up. :)

Setter: 2C-3C is still a pretty good drop.. Though i have heard of people getting 8-10C

MOOGLEYS: Your getting rid of the prodigy? What case are you going back to?
