I picked it up this morning, and it really takes me back to the early NHL's on the snes, the action is really fast paced, and crucially, no slowdown.

Im still trying to get the hang of the stick control, at the moment its feels awkward trying to co-ordinate my hands :)

Anyway, if anyone else has it, and fancies a game online, add my gamertag for some ocuk nhl online goodness.

I've been thinking about getting it, was hoping the demo would be better. A penalty shootout doesn't really give you a feel of how the game actually plays. Will probably have to leave it now as pes6 arrives on thursday.

That's one of the things that put me off, just don't fancy using the sticks for everything.

I don't see why EA are trying to force it with so many of their sports games, the only one where it actually seems suitable is Tiger Woods.

I like it, though i did need to change the controller settings the Right Thumbstick was too much of an issue for me hehe.

Can you use the original type of controls? Ill read the instructions the next time i go for a long dump.

(probably wise not to buy second hand games off me on the MM)

Got this on release date and love it, far better than the 2k series (starts massive arguement :p ).

I struggled with the skill stick at first but now i'm getting used to it you get much more chance to pull of some sweet dekes.

Inwardsinging - I'll add you to my list and send you a game invite.

Cool, ill look forward to that. I think ill try to master the skill stick too, i played a couple of games last night and didnt score at all on the buttons, first game i drew 1-1 with the skill stick.

So this is similar to FN3 then with the right stick controling the punches etc. if so i'm there!!

I much prefered using the stick in FN3, much more satisfying when you win a match to button bashing

Ha ha fun and games last night playing dynasty mode.

Picked up Mike Dunham off waivers from Philly and proceeded to trade him back to them for Mike richards (better player, less money) :D

Will be online saturday night for some games if anyone is up for it.
