Nibiru..2012 the end?

Looking at that video that took ages to track down, all the bloke does is mentions a random tablet with 16.4 billion years, that is no proof of anything. I would (well I couldn't my charisma is somewhere between a frozen fish and a frozen fish beaten with an ugly stick for maybe an hour) So anyway, all he does is mentions things with no real proof...

Would we actually all die if the black hole at the center of the galaxy started spewing stuff out instead of sucking stuff in?

Considering it takes what 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach us here on Earth, I suspect you would be long dead before any "effects" reached us near the edge of the galaxy and we should have plenty of warning to panic when the time comes.

As awesome as it would be, I suspect we would just all die, if we don't die before the event. In any case if we are all dead then who is left to care :)

Interesting to note, we're about 26,000 light years away from the central black hole and the mayan calendar has a cycle of 26,000 years, coincidence!?

is the myan calendar also + or minus 1400 years too?

Why the myans anyway? they where hardly the most successful bunch.

Some say like the pyramids they got knowledge from alien visitors, many ancient writings and stuff could today be better interpreted as alien instead of gods or angels etc.

Or while being high on drugs ;)

If Mayans were so good at this predicting the galaxy thing, how come they didn't predict being wiped out by the Spanish eh ;)

Well seeing that the pyramids took 1000s of years to 'perfect' the Aliens couldn't have been very good themselves.

The underlying to his lecture is a scientific analysis of the mayan calendar.

So there is no evidence that the Mayans thought the universe was 16 billion years old. As I expected. Also, astrology and numerology are not sciences.

If the Mayan calendar has a cycle of 26,000 years, why all the fuss about 5026 years? (i.e. from 3114 BC to 2012).

OMG! It's the 10th of March soon, so the world will end!
