Nibiru..2012 the end?

4 Years guys, let's just wait.
In fact we should see signs of it before then if anything.

Then we can come back and ban the false prophets!

Look if you want to get like that i could ask you to back up you're stuff with a reputable paper or multiple sources, but i don't see the point because this is an internet forum thread on a subject of already questionable material, what good would arguing with you over such mixed information be, the mayans came up with various cycles or the people of today have, im not making claims but it seems you are.

Yes things contradict in life, since when is that news, people also have opinions, or interpret info in different ways, believe things differently, there are few facts in a subject like this. :p

I'm asking you to back it up with anything, because it contradicts itself:

i) 5026 is not 26,000.

ii) The format used by Mayans for their long count calendar is understood (enough carvings remain) and it doesn't give a maximum number of 9,496,240 (26000*365.24).

That is not a matter of opinion.

If you want me to back up what I've stated as being true, I can. With reputable papers and multiple sources. And by "multiple sources", I don't mean "half a dozen True Believer websites from the same belief system". It would be inconvenient, but I could do it.

If you want me to defend what I've argued as being plausible, I can do that too.

Perhaps like the distance to the centre of the galaxy, theres a margin of error to be taken into account!

Then why state 2012? Why not pick any random date within the next 400-900 years and choose that, if the margin of error is so great then you've got as good a chance as any by doing that. Not to mention that the Mayans were sticklers for accuracy as has already been mentioned by Angilion, this "well it could be somewhere in the region of this date" wouldn't have gone down too well.

what exactly do our overlords get out this deal?

I mean it;s not like we produce much of anything or is just a fun pastime?

They get to add another solar system to their count of "places we are the overlords of", which might put them ahead of a competing team of overlords.

When it came to dating, the Mayans didn't do margins of error. They were obsessed with it. Who else would come up with a calendar that counts days instead of years and was planned from the start to cover 2,880,000 days? 20 B'ak'tun of 144,000 days each.

That's just over 7885 years.

Which also isn't 26000 years. Or anything like it.

If there was a margin of error, why is a specific day stated (21/12/2012 in our calendar, 13.19.19.17.19 in the Mayan long count)? Not a millenia. Not a century. Not even a year.

There is a few things with this Niburu thing, for starters i would want to see it and apparently in Feb 09? we should even here in the Northern Hemisphere be able to see it, now IF (if it exists) it comes then fair enough

I believe there is this fact: some people do NOT under NO circumstance believe in ANY other life in the Universe and even IF aliens landed on the whitehouse lawn or outside their house for that matter they STILL would not believe in Aliens

as someone said just wait until 2012 soon find out if our conscious shifts a cycle

Could you give any links as to why you (or someone else) believes it to be a 26,000 year cycle? I've just quickly Googled and I see a few people flat out stating that 26,000 years is one cycle but very little in the way of calculations to back it up, Angilion has shown why 5026 years makes sense, could you do the same?

Angilion, your guess of 5 cycles as the roughest of rough approximations seems to tally with what this fellow says, I'm not at all sure if he has worked out that 5125*5 doesn't equal 26,000 or that 5026*5 doesn't equal 26,000 either though.

5026 years was a mistake. 3114BC to 2012AD is 5126 years, not 5026 years.

13 B'ak'tun is 1872000 days (13*144,000)
1872000 days is 5125.4 years (1872000/365.24)

I am not prepared to count 1872000 days from 11/08/3114 BC to check that it is indeed 21/12/2012 :) It might not be the right start date, anyway.

My next question is whether or not we are sure that the Mayans used base 13 for the B'ak'tun digit of their long count calendar. We know that they had symbols for the numbers 0 to 19 and that they used them in the long count dating. The 2nd, 3rd and 5th digit are base 20. The 4th is base 18 instead, possibly because it is of course multiples of 20 and 18*20 = 360, close to a year. So are we sure that the 1st digit is in base 13? If so, why?

Heh i wasn't exactly being serious about the margin of error or much else tbh, all this in response to an observation that the distance matched with the 26000 year long cycle reported elsewhere, don't you feel a little silly now trying to prove how your info and take on things is somehow more right than a number in a little comment i made? if you look back a few pages you'll see i posted a video trying to debunk many of the 2012 theories, got to laugh how people on this forum like to argue over pointless stuff and who also are the ones calling magick and the like crazies. :p

We would be able to see it now, in broad daylight, unless it has somehow been accelerated to a sizable proportion of the speed of light or is currently in warp space or has been shielded by advanced technology.

There's a lot of ground between "I do not believe in ANY other life in the universe and never will even if I personally meet people from another planet" and "I see no evidence that aliens built the Egyptian pyramids".

But we wont see it as no one in the Southern Hemisphere can see it...

From the beginning of human life, people where always convinced that the 'end of life' is coming soon. This would be caused by either a god or something from outta space.

Causes of destruction of the earth are closer than you think. Either the sun dies and expands, therefore burning us to death. Or maybe that LHC device that is being built by CERN creates a black hole and kills all life on the planet...

Sun wont kill us in 2012 :p, it wont for at least another billion years, in 5 billion years or maybe 4.6 it'll swell into a red giant but the sun is constantly getting hotter and way before the sun turns into a red giant it'll effect us, in 1 billion years if humans are still around then which is very, very, very, very, very, very unlikely the sun will be too hot for like to exist.

People are going to evolve into a new kind of creature, that means if they don't kill each other first with a 3rd or 4th world war, after a few million years. If humans still exist when the sun expands, it's still useful to use some sun tanning cream :D

I don't think we'll have a 3rd world war.

Nukes will kill every side in the war, so no dumbass will do that, the middle east will be to do with anything bad in terms of a war, if any war starts there we want to try get Russia on our side and literally nuke the middle east, apart from that, don't think a war will kill us.

Wait a min, was it not on the radio or something, sometime, between 2012 and 2017, cant remember the exact year an asteroid is on a course that will closely pass earth, very very closely and there is a chance the earths mavity will pull it in.

Also I think they've found asteroids on a collision course with earth, but wont hit for a long long time.

Pharoahs were originally put in tombs under the ground.
They were then put in tombs above the ground.
Somebody then decided to put another tomb on top of the bottom one.
This then became the step pyramid when they decided to put lots of tombs on top of each other.
Some Pharoah then decided to fill in the sides to make a pyramid shape around the step pyramid.
Has I posted earlier, Snefu built 3 pyramids but the first 2 were very quickly built and abandoned but the 3rd stayed up and remains at Giza.
The other 2 were built on the same design.
Ironically the Pharoahs then went back to being buried under the ground again.

Now if Aliens were involved in all this they were pretty crap builders themselves and the funny thing is that there are no hieroglyphs depicting these rubbish alien builders.
