Nibiru..2012 the end?

I was even thinking of something else. They said that the sun takes about 50.000 years to complete one orbit. So if a 2nd sun is going to cross our sun in three years at that speed, it should be visible by now (maybe even with the bare eye). So I just say that the Mayans are paranoid.
But at the documentary, there was a scientist who said that it's just something to scare people. And instead of taking time to worry about this, they'd better spend their time in improving the life on this planet (greenhouse effect, wars and such).
Anyone get the feeling Mayans were playing a big prank on all of us. Either that or their version of a YTS lad forgot to finish the calender so now all the conspiracy theorists out there make up stories.
I can just imagine a bunch of Mayans who've had a bad day think to themselves, "why don't we have a laugh and only make our calender last this long."

Even as a beginner astronomer, this whole thing is laughable. No evidence, no Claim, shutup. Keep watching the sky this month, theres a newly discovered comet, it will have a green tail and might be able to see it with the unaided eye on it's closest approach around the 28th. - Thats something I can believe in, an occurance based upon empirical evidence of an object spotted, plotted and trajectory calculated, thats why we know its coming. I've seen amateur astronomers using astrophotography to plot the movement of Pluto using a DSLR camera. There are no planets, or suns heading our way in the immediate future. If this was the case the big guns, NASA, ESA would easily detect it, remember amateurs can plot Pluto.
Also if there was something big headed our way, we'd see it, and it would take a long time for it to get here. Even Comets look stationary in the sky, because space is so big it takes ages for anything to get anywhere... sigh
This conspiracy &%#$ is novel, made up by people who need to substitute their own reality for whatever personal reason, and for some manner of comfort in the idea that the rest of us are going to die with them if this lie comes to be. FORGET IT, get a hobby, like astronomy then they might understand.

No their calendar finishes then just as ours finishes and starts again on the 1st of Jan.

There's a completely false statement right on the first page. They're still talking about the IRAS discovery as if it was an incoming huge mass in our solar system and as if NASA said it was. Neither of those things are true. NASA (via the scientists on the project) said that the initial data didn't tell them what it was or even where it was and further observations showed that it was a distant galaxy.
Are you talking about the prediction early last year from Kobe university? The one which assumed the existence of the planet and constructed a model from that assumption? The one that predicts a possible planet 30-70% of the mass of the Earth that orbits way out past the Kuiper belt, a bigger Pluto, i.e. absolutely nothing like Nbiru/Planet X?
im listening to a radio show on page 3 i think....Planet x and nibiru are the same thing but different(if they exist that is) nibiru is Brown/red dwarf(failed sun),whereas planet x is the planet that orbits the so called nibiru(brown/red dwarf) on a high elliptical orbit(like an egg shape) every 3.5 thousand years roughly...or so they say,well the sumerians that is...first recorded civilization on earth...tbh i dont think even the professionals know...

If you look into it, you'll find it's not clear what the Sumerians said.
What is clear is that there is absolutely no way whatsoever that a brown dwarf on an elliptical orbit ~3500 years long is going to pass this way in 2012, because if there was, there would be all manner of very clear indications of it by now. It would be visible to the naked eye from Earth, for a start.

It just seems a bit fishy that we have waited 26 years to relaunch a infra-red telescope, and that there was a massive infra-red telescope built at the Antarctic in 2004 which by all accounts was built in a hurry. Is the Copenhagen treaty a cover for international talks on the incoming threat of Nibiru?
