Nice one Logitech......

I have a Logitech MX1000 mouse that I must have had for at least 6-7 years and its been the best mouse I've ever had!
Just recently its been hit and miss as to whether the charging cradle has worked so I decided to e-mail Logitech to see if there was anything they could do....

Within a day they e-mailed me back to say it was out of warranty (obviously!

) but they would offer me a 50% discount on a replacement product from their on-line store!

Well impressed - they didnt have to do anything and I've saved a bundle on a replacement that I would have bought anyway!

Just thought I'd share.....

i got 50% discount from speakers as my old ones were out of date

also had my mx518 replaced free of charge when it randomly died

Will have to remember that they are a helpfull friendly bunch!

I bought a MX1000 ages ago, and it died just after 3 years. Didn't think to e-mail them as I presumed it was well out of warrenty, but my local branch of 'metal paper clamping object' happened to have 1 left, so I bought the last one and took my broken one back a few days later

Yep logitech are excellent. I'll always buy their mice and keyboards etc, purely because of their warranty / customer service. Speakers too (Z-5500's rock!)

Even if they are a bit more expensive than competitors, its totally worth it.

Ive never thought about doing anything like this on an old wireless keyboard I have that packed in.

Reckon I could get anything (excluding the fact my sis spilt milk on it?

This is very good, customer returns, faulty items and problems need to be address like this more by other companies. As they say if you have a bad product you tell 7 people where if the product is good you only tell 3 people about it.

+1 Logitech I will be sticking with you for along time.

I have told anyone that will listen about Logitech, The MX Revolution is amazing, I have two computers upstairs and can use the keyboard and mouse in seperate rooms!!!

That's very good to hear. I've just bought a logitech mouse and keyboard. Also planning to buy speakers from them. Nice to know they wont be a pain to deal with if something goes wrong.

Nice, mine is doing the same thing and I'm sick of cleaning the charging contact plates so was away to buy a replacement... so I guess I'll try the same and hopefully get it half price!
