Nice restaurant in Central London this SUNDAY?

Looking for a nice restaurant on London's Southbank. As close to london bridge as possible.

EDIT: Anywhere in central London this Sunday for dinner
Preferably with some form of cut price deal

Max price is £30 a head for 3 courses.

I been to Skylon, it was ok, not totally fantastic but not totally rubbish (good wine list iirc) but make sure you get by the window otherwise it kind of defeats the object of being there!

If you really want close to London Bridge you could see if Roast has a set menu. You could just about get away with £30 from the a la carte if you avoid the pricier dishes.

If you could travel a little further, Le Gavroche isn't near the south bank (it's by Grosvenor square) but would only take you 25 mins to walk or a few mins on tube, but it is one of best restaurants in the country with 2 michelin stars and has a brilliant set lunch for £48 including half a bottle of very good wine per head, coffee and mineral water, 3 courses plus amuse bouche and pe**** fours so certainly comparable with £30 a head at by comparison second rate restaurants.

Thanks guys.

Le Gavroche is closed on Sundays and out of my price range.
Roast has mixed reviews.
Blueprint Cafe has bad reviews!

Any others?

Well towards waterloo there's a ping pong and a feng sushi if you like that sort of place, not really "upmarket" though.

Along Butler's Wharf there are a few nice eateries but can't remember the names of the places.

I've been to the Chophouse on many occasions (just beside Tower Bridge) and love it. It's a Conran restaurant so that should give some idea of what to expect.

Not sure if there's a set menu though, but I'd recommend the roast duck - it made me exclaim out loud last time (much to the embarrassment of the gf).

didn't realise it was a sunday (but as an aside I would be surprised if wine, coffee etc. didn't add up to more than £18 ahead on top of your £30 unless you don't drink)

I've eaten at roast a couple of times and it is good food. Can be a bit hectic and is perhaps on the pricy side for what is essentially fairly simple cooking.

What about Fish in Burough market, very near Lon bridge and good food. Atmosphere is OK. Doesn't have a set menu but it is in your budget.

Roast in Borough market is fantastic - F!sh is over rated and fairly poor. Another good place is Wright's - is also in Borough market and does fabulous food and a great wine list.

When my boyfriend told me he wanted to take me up the Oxo Tower for my birthday, I was a bit hesitant at first because I didn't really think it was my scene. How wrong I was! I mean, yeah, so it's a bit of a strain on the old back pocket, and I admit I did feel a bit uncomfortable initially. But a couple of cocktails helped me relax and soon I was really getting into it - we carried on well into the night. It was a great experience and I really loved it - so much so that I won't let my boyfriend take me anywhere else now! So if anyone ever wants to take you up the Oxo Tower, just throw caution to the wind and go for it!
