Nice score :)

Hehe, thx, so many haters because i posted a pic and link to a nice overclocking scenareo which produced some nice results, i love overclocking and benching myself but never had enough balls to even use modded bios's to increase voltage on water never mind blasting away with n2o.

This. If I posted a benchmark of my 1ghz 580 I would not expect this in the slightest.

Cannot believe the **** attitude of people sometimes, I even made a thread about it. Some more suspensions should be handed out imo.

Let's be honest now, all he did was post an image and a link to facebook. I myself wasn't sure what to make of it without any context whatsoever. He's edited the first post now so it makes a lot more sense.

Tbh i thought ppl were clever enough to see that it was clearly Kingpins score because of the direct link to his facebook post, nvm i'll keep stuff to myself in future.

How dare you link to someone elses bench :p

Don't worry about it Krony...personally I think it is a good link and wow, what a score

No, I've not heard of Kingpin or Vince before, I'm sorry.

But still, enjoyed seeing the news about it.

Edit: Also, me being clever has nothing to do with knowing that Kingpin is Vince, or that Kingpin is one of the big overclocking names.

Gonna start doing some research on bios flashing i think, running max allowed voltage of 1.15v i am hitting well under 50c while benching, just got no experience in that area and i know it can go badly wrong if u don't know what u are doing.

Worst case I can think of is the flash going wrong and you not getting a display on the screen. You will then need to plug in another GPU into your motherboard to get the display back and can then flash the other original card to either the original bios (which you saved right?) or a fixed one.

Its reletively straight forward and only needs a bootable USB key the majority of the time. However afterburner has made overclocking and overvolting of GPU's so simple now I don't think its worthwhile.

Back on topic great score by kingpin, he is lucky for getting showered in the latest hardware fore free to do this kind of thing

Ref the earlier post, he had to volt mod the original reference card they used to get to 1.4GHz on air (at 1.4V) if memory serves me right.

Thx, yea i know the basics just heard of quite a few ppl bricking cards thats all, i suppose these fan unlocker bios's would be ideal to use to re-flash a bricket card ?
About Afterburner, yea u can overvolt but only to the max the bios will allow which on most nvidia cards specifically my 580's is 1.15v, there are a few ppl that have used modded bios's to up this to around 1.21v and i think i should be able to get past the 1GHz running that kind of voltage just for benchies.
