Nice simple video to WMV converter

Hi,

I've been using media center along with our Xbox360 quite a bit recently, so I've been converting all my videos into WMV.

At the moment I'm using VLC to convert them and it keeps the quality perfectly, but it makes them almost double size.

Is there any converter that will keep the same quality (without me having to specify dimensions etc.) and the size?

I need one that will do pretty much any video please (xvid and divx are most important).

Media center doesn't do my AVIs etc

Looks like those are both video -> Divx/Xvid converters

i don't have an xbox360, but i've read about the programs that do it, they run on your pc, and convert on the fly to WMV when you try to play thme on the 360

the prog which streams it to your xbox is called transcode360, i couldnt get it to work under 64bit vista though

so im stuck in the same situation, converting all my files to wmv seems a long and boring task for my old 3200+
