hey guys and gals!

As the warmer weather draws in ive seen plenty of bikes about. Being as i live right near the coast you get lots of them go by in groups and just looks like real fun.

Now ive been on many bikes before, mostly scramblers but i fancy getting myself a cheapish 125cc to use in the summer purely for abit of fun, nothing serious.

A few bikes have caught my eye especially the CBR125's but the whole seating position would do my back in i think. Id like something abit more supermoto/enduro style but i dont have the faintest idea of whats good.

My budget is between £700-£1300. Also seen the Gilera DNA 125's which i quite like in some weird way (passed my cbt on a 50 version). Although i hearnt they're not the most reliable thing going.

cheers :)

ive heard those little RS's are rapid for 125's :)

Im trying to avoid any 2 stroke bikes if possible because if i rarely use the bike that often i wouldnt like to have to pay for a rebuilt the 2 strokes need.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about having a 2 stroke.

It makes a lot more power than a 4 stroke and is a lot more fun, you have to treat them with respect.

Meaning.. Warm the bike up before giving it the beans, treat it decent 2 stroke Oil.

Rebuilding a 2 stroke engine is also a doddle.. seeing as you won't be doing many miles I can't see it ever needing a rebuild for a long time.

I love 2 strokes :D

Those MX125s are lovely!

Ok, so they don't have the same power or speed as a 600 4-stroke..

But they are sooo much fun to ride, mental powerband f.t.w! :D

If you want to go the 4-stroke route, maybe consider the Yamaha XT125, I got a low-miler for around £1k.

For me its a great, low maintenance bit of fun for the summer but will do me till I take my full test and go for something a little higher power.
