Nicked or not?

Hi,

I got pulled doing 36 in a 30 today. Mobile camera man on his own.

He didn't say much except asking me what the limit was and what I thought I was doing (I said 35), then he said "don't speed" twice and sent me on my way.

At the time I was thinking 'damn I'm lucky'. Then I started thinking maybe I'm not?

So which is it, would the officer have explicitly said that I will get nicked for it or not. I know I'm an idiot for not asking but at the time I was too focused on avoiding confrontation to make things worse

I hope you guys are right

It's just a sleepy little village in Cambridgeshire called Brinkley. I go through it every day to get to work.

What caught me off guard is there is normally a guy in a hi-vez vest delivering news papers every morning I drive past. So I see a hi-viz vest in the distance and think nothing of it

I was going through it to go onto 6 Mile Bottom, so yeah the actual village I think? There's houses n'such to the left and right anyway.

Usually there's this really old looking bus parked up in a layby but yesterday it was a scamera man there instead

It was one guy in a hi-vis vest with a handheld camera.

By the time I got to him I was only going about 20 (as yes it's quite a dangerous road to do even 30 through) so he probably felt it was safe to walk in the road and signal me.

I didn't see any police car, van or anything.
