I have a Gigabyte Z97 SOC Force with a Intel 4960k, and an ASUS R9 280x, nothing is overclocked.

Every so often when the PC sleeps when I wake it by hitting a key on the keyboard or mouse etc, the orange LED on my monitor turns green but there is no display.

Also, every so often when the PC boots the Keyboard, a Corsair Vengeance K70 also doesn't appear to power up, the keyboard in unresponsive, I have tried different USB ports etc but it still happens every so often.

Any ideas?

Never use sleep its evil and causes all manner of problems.

Your issue sounds same as what happened on my sons laptop because I left sleep on. Had to remove battery and do the "laptop reset" to get it to boot again.

Just dont use it.

In the days of SSD's no one should be using sleep mode.

Default setting is to sleep monitor after 30 mins I believe. Just turn that off. I believe the sleep problem might be an AMD driver issue as I have seen it mentioned in the driver thread. Maybe pop in there for a fix. Not sure with the keyboard, but perhaps try a different keyboard to see if it's specific to the k70 or if it's a mobo issue. Could just be a dodgy kb.

Hmmmm, it is not set to sleep.

Imma echo what others have said. Sleep is evil on desktop PCs. Mine will not wake up once I overclock over 4.5GHz. Either through a BLCK of 102 or a multiplier of 45. Boost or no boost. C States on or off.

With an ssd I just shutdown or leave it idling.
