just need alittle help with the colour, they seem to be rather orangey is there anythiing i could do to cut down on this or is it just the way the camera sees street lights?

There should be a white balence setting on the camera which will help compensate for the sodium lighting, or you can do it in post processing.

I tend to take a sheet of white A5 paper out and set a custom white balence for each shot on my Nikon. Makes a much better shot than just 'fixing' in CS.

I'm sure people will have other tips....

suprised you never shot the millenium bridge actually, as for the orange cast, if you shoot in raw, you may be able to alter the colour, did you try shooting with WB on cloudy? that tends to work for my night shots :)

Just checking but it doesn't matter when you shoot in RAW does it? I've always altered the white balance in RawShooter if the camera's auto w/b is a bit off.
