Would be better of buying a Wired Router and sticking a quality AP in a central location like a Ubiquiti.

They're not remotely comparable. Ubiquiti don't have anything faster than AC 1750. This Netgear product is 802.11ad, apparently peaking at 7.2 gigabit/s. It's got 10G ethernet ports.

ad will bring how much real world extra performance especially in a less then optimum position? and who has 10Gbit at home? waste of money.

At that price I'd be looking at building a pfSense box with 10Gig/E ports and a wireless card, with little care for the additional outlay. Even at the lower end I wouldn't trust Netgear, let alone delusional prosumer/enterprise grade kit.
