:D :D

Just got this DVD and 2 x CD set - absolutely amazing.

I have liked Nightwish for a while now, but the performance is stunning, particularly the cover of Pink Floyd's "High Hopes".

Shame Tarja has left - won't be the same again - superb voice and great eye candy too :)

What are they going to do now without her? Find another singer? I used to like Nightwish but haven't listened to them in ages, am just curous :)

Apparently they are auditioning for a new singer at the moment. Tuomas (keyboards) has always been the soul of the band, but how do you replace a voice as distinctive as Tarja's ?

they're auditioning new singers (unless they've got one now) but its not the same without her. having said that they needed to get rid of her, she was so up herself it hurt.

i cant listen to them anymore for girly emotional reasons (nothing to do with the band itself) but i dont wanna go into that...

Tarja may be up herself but she is stunning ;)

OMG just re-heard Wishmaster and the song end with the last few bars of Maiden's The Trooper :D

Still to get this :) is it worth it? I have all of the other CD's and that other DVD they did, from wishes to eternity iirc

Their version of Gary Moore's "Over The Hills and Far Away" is a little, erm, 'European' but it's still pretty good. The only Nightwish stuff I'd heard before this was seeing "Nemo" on Scuzz, pretty impressed :)

from the open letters she definitely needed to go, and i already knew that she didnt like the music, i'd hope that they either go for a similarly trained singer who likes the music, or move in a new direction, obviously if they move in a new direction it would be difficult to play the old stuff, but i dont doubt the new would be good

Wow, glad they got it out. Heard Tarja was trying to sue and get herself removed from the DVD or something. Not particularly keen on the musical direction they took with Once, much preferred Oceanborn/Wishmaster era. Either way, Tuomas is a dude :D

Indeed :) love how he has a bottle of red wine he swigs from at the gigs :)

Hehe :D Last time I saw them was at Wacken Open Air last year, but I was incredibly drunk and some random german people in the tent near me had to carry me around. I managed to catch them before they went on their Once tour, man did they rock!
Has anyone seen the DVD End of Innocence? Shows Tuomas' true character tbh, also pretty much explains how he can write such kick ass stuff.
