Evening,

Looking for a lens to complement my 50mm f1.8 for my portraiture work. Finding that sometimes the 50mm just cant reach, which is dissapointing as resorting to a slower/worse lens is out of the question resulting in lost captures . If it is anything like the 50mm f1.8 then I am sure it will be a superb lens.

Anyway, to cut to the chase, has anybody got/had this lens and how have you found using it?

Would appreciate some sample images if possible.

King.

I shoot this lens a lot, and it's fantastic.
Build is IMO a fair bit better than the 50mm 1.8.
Make sure you do actually get the D version, much better for flash.

Don't have any samples to hand, and will be muchos busy this week - but I'll try and get something up for you.

Regardless, don't think you'll be dissapointed. Ace lens.

doesn't take a lot to beat build quality on the 50mm f1.8 though, the f1.4 is far better made. I don't know about the 85mm, but it's well spoken of..
