The 'genuine' battery I got directly from rainforest turned out to be a fake so returned it for replacement - 2nd one was also a fake so returned that too and gave up!

I've tried a few different ones, always end up with problems. Won't touch anything but legit now.

Yup be careful with Amazon. I've had several fake batteries and memory cards from them over the years, even on orders fulfilled by Amazon themselves.

Ex-Pro batts all day long.
Used them on nearly all my cameras and not had a single issue.

I definitely stick to official batteries. Bitten too many times by 3rd party batteries that have terrible performance, short life or just explode in your camera or while charging. Sure, some of them work just as will if not better than the official batteries but it is such a gamble and not worth the risk IMO.

Old thread, but I always use Ex-Pro these days. The only battery I ever had explode was my official Olympus one

I did get Expro in the end, but didn't have to use them after all. The OEM battery didn't drain much more than usual in Iceland - temps hovered about 0.
