Nikon D3100 - Where to buy?

I hope this isn't breaking any rules as I don't see this camera for sale here.

What is the cheapest place right now to pick up a new one of these with kit lens?

Cheapest i've seen is the rainforest - £360

Might be worth checking DigitalRev and ******* if price is your main concern. These are imported so work out cheaper but you have to rely on them for warranty I believe since the normal Canon warranty would have to be used back in Hong Kong or something.

They definitely tend to be cheaper... But on something of that price it might not be much of a saving? Im too lazy to check

Personally, I think the two year UK warranty is well worth the extra tenner or so it would cost to buy from UK sources.

Might be right although DigitalRev do mention UK service centres.

Could be a PITA though.

I went for the slightly better kit lens with my new 650d and it seems worth it. 18-135mm obviously gives a bit more reach than the standard 18-55 and because it's STM it's practically silent

Well to me it's silent because I can't hear anything coming from it.

If you think you'll appreciate the better lens then don't feel the need to skimp on it if you don't have to
