Worth £335 with the 18-55mm lens?

After plenty of reading it seems this DSLR is very user friendly, especially to new photographers.

Few reviews suggest buying a better lens to use the camera's full potential? Would i even notice this? I just want to do better picture's than what is coming off the phone.

I know nothing about camera's. Bought a decent FujiFilm digital camera once and never used it as i didn't have the slightest clue what all the options was. So swiftly sold it on... Want to give it another crack now though.

Will the D3200 be ok?

Could get the D3100 for £280 with lens but this is nearly half the megapixel?

Thanks

Hey Mollymoo, thanks for the reply.

I don't mind spending £335, i get 12 months to pay for it with no interest from my catalog which helps. Seems to be the cheapest place to get it from aswell after having a good google around.

Both me and my GF have thousands up on thousands of photo's that we have took from are phones from over the years, which are still good photo's but they are missing the quality of a proper camera.

Also, we have just spent over £400 on 7 pictures done by a photographer. I think i will try capture my own photo's next time, be cheaper!

I love wildlife, sceneries , car's, things out of the ordinary. Plenty of random photo's of things on my phone. Always taking pictures of something.

I did try before but i couldn't get to grips with the settings on the Fujifilm Camera, they was all over the place. So i sold it and went back to using my phone. Did you find the Nikon easy to use as a new user?

Right guys, brilliant! I will grab the D3200. 2 weeks wait though :(

Howard and Janesy, expect to see plenty of my amazing photography soon. (keep your screen turned Janesy)

Great pictures :D

Ordered the camera this morning along with a Sandisk Extreme 8GB SD card 30MB/s. Came up to £350 which isn't bad at all.

Oh don't buy a D80. It's been proven that they can't be used to take pictures of cars.

[This is a joke, if you don't get it search for a user called TwoBlackLines]

I remember that guy from motors :)

Expect delivery by the 19th of September.

I hate waiting for new toys :(

What other essentials should i be looking into? Any good websites i should be having a good look at? Books/DVD's that could help?

Thanks
