Nikon D750 further recall.

Hi guys, you have all likely seen that Nikon have issued further recall for more affected D750's but if you haven't here's the official line.

In July of 2015, we announced that the shutter in some Nikon D750 digital SLR cameras manufactured in October and November of 2014 does not function normally, sometimes resulting in shading of a portion of images. Since that time, our examination of the issue has clarified the fact that the same issue may occur with D750 cameras manufactured from December, 2014 through June, 2015.
Therefore, any D750 manufactured from October, 2014 through June, 2015 is eligible for inspection and repair of its shutter.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Mines one of the affected units (although I've seen no issue in use)

Somehow my D750 has managed to avoid both recalls. Mate of mine sent his back last time and his serial is shown as affected again, he called to verify and they confirmed it needs to be redone, which is interesting

I've heard some reports of oil spots also similar to the D600. Not sure if it's related to this or just a handful of models.

I've got quite a few shoots planned at the moment, so trying to find a quiet spot to send it in, Nightmare really.

But if not done I'd imagine it will hurt resale value further down the line.

Not heard about this issue and thankfully mines not one of the effected ones.

If you're a registered professional with NPS then you may be able to get a loan camera body while yours is in for repair. Worth a call.
