Nikon D750?

Kind of seems pointless to me when there is already the D610,D800/810, Df , D4/s and the D700 is still very capable. I bet the price it is released at you could pick up a D800 second hand and have enough money to be a (cheap) lens.

Hopefully Nikon is getting out of the habit of gimping basic features of camera's like they did with the D610 & DF. The DF was an abomination considering the price, where the D610 could at least say it was cheaper.

The Df is an extremely popular camera so i think Nikon hit the nail on the head there. Some people expected a half price D4s and complained when the Df wasn't that, for those that wanted a smaller camera with good manual control the Df has proved extremely popular. It is a bit of a marmite camera, there are those dismissing it because it doesn't have 51pt AF and shoot 12FPS, there are those that own it, shoot it and love it and think it is the greatest SLR since the F4.
Frankly I think it is a pretty stupid camera but others rave about it.

If it has fast autofocus and high fps it will be a much better action camera than the D800 which is a tad sluggish in AF and the fps isn't that high. The 24mp is a nice sweet spot too.

The D810 does 6FPS in the 1.2X crop giving 24MP images, even if the D750 came in at say 8FPS that isn't a significant difference in user experience. Nikon wont release a camera that eats into the D4s sales so yo wont get anything close to 10FPS, might bet it will be around 6FPS.

The D810 does interest me too, but if this D750 is cheaper, smaller, faster and has tiltable LCD then it's just what I want. There's a lot of interest in this across the forums. Of course lets not get too carried away, it's still only vapour ware at the moment :)
