Nikon D80 vs D3200 - Heat bloom on long exposures

Does anyone know whether the D3200 is any better for sensor heat than the D80 on long exposures? Can't seem to find much info on this, would appreciate any help

How long is long? Its hard to say anyway though as sensors heat up during long exposures anyway and you could get a few samples of the same body and still get big differences in how they handle the artifacts that appear from long exposures.

Anywhere from 10 minutes and up during astrophotography or night time photography. The D80 gets massive purple blooms in the top corners.

Also, does anyone know if the D3200 can be computer controlled (or otherwise) to do time lapse photography?
