Nikon TC-20E AF-S III 2.0x Teleconverter

I've got a Nikon 300mm f2.8 vrii and was really thinking of getting the 2x tele ... I am in two minds about this as I have a Sigma 150-600mm sport already .. I can get the tele cheap though so thought it might be a good opportunity .. any thoughts?

My guess is the sigma would be sharper and focus faster but the 2XTC wouldn't be far behind.

the sigma is supposed to be very sharp at 600mm and I have found that it is (after adjusting). I have no idea what the 300mm f2.8 vrii would be like though

Could you hire one from lensesforhire and see? Might cost you about £50 but at least you'd know.
