Nikon wide prime

I'm after a wide prime for my D750. Looking at the Nikkor 20mm f/1.8, for about £500.

Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative to this? I know Sigma do one, but not meant to be as good as the Nikkor, which is meant to be excellent.

Yeah, i'd certainly take a used one. What is your experience with the lens? Is it a good performer?

Certainly don't want to be paying more for an inferior zoom lens

Just ordered the Nikkor 20mm f/1.8G ED

Quick question for anyone that's owned or used it: will I be ok with a polarizer on this with it being so wide?

OK, thanks. Probably won't bother then. Ordered a 77mm 10 stop filter though
