Hi All I want to get some feedback about an ISP ADSL Service ,i,m with Nildram on the 8meg contract , the highest connection that i get is 6.2 meg and thew lowest is 5.1 meg ,do anyone else get this ,or is this right ? I have been looking at changing my ISP and Zen seem to get my vote ,i know that they are higher in price, but i,d be willing to pay more if i got a higher conection rate ,is anyone on Zen's 8meg service, and do they get 8meg ?

Do you mean you are connected at 6.2mb, or are connected at 8mb and getting 6.2mb speeds? If you're connected at 6 then I doubt you'll get an increase by switching to another ISP as it's more to do with the line between you and your exchange (quality, distance) than your ISP.

I'm with Nildram and get the full 8mb, but I'm practically sat on my exchange.

Could you post your SNR and Attenuation figures up? Your router/modem should be able to give you them. It'll give a good idea of what your lines like.

Where do i find that ??

whats your router?

login to your router and check the options there, status, stats etc

but anyway if thats the max speed you can get, then changing ISP's will not help you, as its because of your phone line, not ISP
