Any other Nildram P2P (Torrent) users as confused as me regards the throttling that's going on?

I thought Nildram's policy was throttling would only occur during 'Business Hours'. Here I am at almost 10:00PM and I'm still leeching off 400+ Seeds and 6000+ Peers at an amazing 3.8Kb/s..

Nilly used to be so damn good too :(

owned by tiscali now isn't it? and before them it was pipex (who i left years back because of throttling.... :o)

best bet is go somewhere else. things won't get any better. vote with your wallet. :)

If Nildram monitor common ports to block torrents, try using a non common port in your client.

I was hoping to change to Be 24 but they cancelled enabling my exchange :(

I'd love to change but they all seem as bad as each other and I'd bet any that don't throttle now will soon be throttling anyway and I'd hate to jump out of the frying-pan into the fire. It's ridiculous really, get high speed internet and then be throttled down to dial-up speeds anyway..meh!

I use random port on connect, makes no difference. Once it hits about 1:30AM it'll get up to reasonable speeds and then get throttled down again around 5:30AM, it's currently leeching at 1.3Kb/s :o

it's not like that at all. there are plenty of isps who offer unthrottled p2p.

the decent isps don't throttle because instead of pretending to offer the moon on a stick (unlimited usage  ), they instead have realistic monthly usage allowances that you'll have to stick to.
