Immortal Cities : Nile Online (Beta)

Game Type : City management & Trading (Browser)
Cost : Free
Description : You play as a Pharaoh in Ancient Egypt, you get to manage a new city on the Nile, it is your job to make it evolve. Your city has got a special resource with which you can build goods, you then trade them for other goods so you can make your city grow by building or upgrading facilities.

Tips :
  • After creating your account, check the top tab "Primer" which contains a small tutorial to get you started in the game
  • To trade with other players you need boats
  • Boats costs 26 cedar and are build in the exchange building
  • Ask other players to get cedar or buy it from the market so you can make your first boat (Check the list of OCUKers on Nile Online some got cedar as their resource)
  • The currency with which you buy goods from the market is bread
  • Combat is not yet implemented in the game, building baracks is not useful at the moment

In game name is Pharoah Macgyver of The Phoenix Foundation. My resource is Oil.

Any tips on what to build first? I've upgraded my gold mine and filled out my initial things with labourers. Then will build a bakery and brickworks.

Who's it made by?

Is it the same guys who did Ogame and Ikariam?

Looks very similar to the latter.
 
What server are you guys on? I'll try it but if I get too addicted I'll have to quit. Spent too much of my life in Ikariam already :p

EDIT: nvm I see there's only one open server.

I was just thinking that - It does look a lot like Ikariam.

I was banned from Ik actually - I made an account, logged in, forgot all my details and then made another. Played happily for a month before bannage of main account. Blah well :)
 
I updated the list!

Some pointers for starter.
If you click on the "Primer" tab uptop you get a small tutorial showing you what to start building first.
Basically the trick is to have enough laborer to not have any resources in red(means that you are losing resources each hours)
To have more laborer upgrade your palace(at first you just need basket and pottery which you can make from the shops) At level 3 palace you start needing luxury goods(perfume, jewelery) At this moment it starts to get tricky because you need resources from others cities.
To get resources from other cities you have to get boats(25 cedar needed which you need to trade for and also you have to have an exchange building)
You can also buy resources from the market that requires no boat.
The resources used in trade is always : Wanted resources for Bread

Yey, now race race race to build a ship and trade us cedar for other trade goods :)

Edit: I am thinking Cedar is the resource that will be in demand by quiet an amount.
