Well I need something with pictures to show me how to get out of the area. I looked on Gamefaqs and it just says go downstairs kill the fiends and come back up. It doesn't say anything special about coming back up, which presumably means it should be obvious
I will have to wait till someone who has played this level of the game comes online.

Not sure exactly where you are. Is there rock faces all around you and a clearing with a circular pattern of stones on it?
If so it's a case of clever wall jumping and flipping to get up to the first and 2nd ledges of rocks from memory

I cant help either until my copy arrives, which wont be till next week (PS3 came today). I've always done that fiend challenge after I fought the bone dragon and before Alma, so I jump down there anyway and carry on with the level.
Cant you just backtrack through the underground then appear back in the archives office with that safe? I dont think the developers would be stupid enough to make it so that if you fall down there you are stuck because there would be no point they may as well just kill you from the fall.
But then again, cant you just load up your save and start from where ever you last saved? Its not like you jumped down there and saved your game right?
Edit: Ah I forgot to ask are you down by the remains of the bone dragon or on the rock ledges on the sides of the cavern?

I am stuck on the Rock Ledges, I think when you beat the Dragon he broke some of the Rock ledges so you can't get back up. My only way is to go back down where you can see the dead bone dragon in the water.
I see you are suggesting using the way back up that was used in Level9 to go back to the safe, but I can't remember where that is!!! If I go down to where the dead dragon is that takes me back to the area where the Fiend challenge is, which is a dead end (Ritual room).

Edit: There is water where the dead dragon is and a hidden tunnel but I can;t get through as Ryu's underwater health runs out as the whole area beyond that hidden underwater tunnel is submerged.

I dont know if you can, the entrance to the passage is under the water. I know where you mean now anyway, I cant really explain it that well but I will give it a try, it would be easier with pictures but I neither have a Camera or the game yet 
To put it simply just keep going as high as you can and when you cant go any further look around and there should be a passage/gate somewhere and thats where you need to go. Eventually you should end up in a small room that appears like a dead end, but there should be somewhere you can run up the wall and back flip. When you get to the ledge do the same again by jumping and running up the wall opposite the ledge and then it should be simple enough to get out again.

The final picture made me realise where you mean, As it's a narrow room you can just wall flip up it!! I been in the room before just never tried climbing the wall by jumping, although I have had to use that technique earlier in the game to reach a few areas.

Edit: All this effort to power up that wooden sword and get loads of orbs!! I haven't even started the main part of Level 10 yet!!

LOL I would have helped sooner if I realised where you meant, I thought you jumped down to the dragon remains, then it is impossible to get back up to the cavern. The only way as you know would be to go underground.
Now I just have to figure out why it will not let me Have either Alrik or Alrik Valo for my User ID on the PSN. It is seriously stressing me out because it doesnt say whether its an invalid format or if the names are already taken. I've also tried to put numbers after it also but still get the same message:
"The Online ID you entered cannot be used. Please choose another one"

Just got my copy today and blasted through chapters 1-9. Loving Ninja Gaiden in HD (even the 3 year old CG cutscenes still hold their own) and other smaller improvements they have made over the Xbox version, but I cant say I'm enjoying it as much because its way too easy in comparison to Ninja Gaiden Black.
A good example would be that I've just beaten Alma without using any Ninpo or healing items and the battle was over in 30 seconds, this is mainly due to the Flying Swallow hitting 4/4 times and beating Alma so easily is just not satisfying at all...
I will have to try it all again on the harder difficulties as I unlock them before I make my final judgements

Well i ran along the walls as much as i could seemed to be slightly faster keep to the left at most times though,try to remember where the obstacles are, I tried it about 10 times before i got it, blooming hard, well i thought so!
I am on Level 13 (I think). The one with some huge bird thing with claws as the boss. Any hints? I have all the weapons maxed out but I think it is more a case of bad technique then using the wrong weapons. (I am using Unlaboured Flawlessness or Dabilhiro (sp?).)
