Ninja Gaiden Sigma PS3

The decaps baned in the UK version applies to 'human looking' opponents apparently, but ugly monster things can still be decapped.

In the US version anything can lose its head :D Mine should arrive from canada today or tomorrow, and i missed my PS3 delivery today as i was in ikea buying tv stands to mod for the new tv coming soon. Gonna be a gaming week next week :D

Run up the wall, jump off and slash down on him (triangle I think) rinse and repeat. Just make sure to roll/jump out of the way once the move has finished because he sometimes blocks and grabs you.

I found her pretty easy compared to her final form later in the game now that is a nightmare.

Intresting cos i find it the other way with alma. I guess its the low life bar you have at the Early part of the game. Also fighting the 70 odd RED Dragon deamons. You find them as a challenge were you fight DOku 1ST time.

To anyone just starting on normal here, I'd suggest just one thing - Block. Block block block. All the time.

In large groups it's pretty much essential, and even just in one-on-ones it's good to remember to, as it'll save you from losing any unneccesary health. Most people's tendencies these days, from games like Devil May Cry and God of War, is to just attack outright and beat their enemies into submission. That just doesn't work in NG, and that's probably why you're suffering. You need to hold back, and wait for the opportunity to hit enemies on the counter. Pateince young ninjas.

Now later on you'll start to fight stuff that'll get you right through any blocking, which is when you start to worry. But hopefully, by that point, you'll have gotten more hang of the game's mechanics, and you'll be better at dodging/rolling/attacking first.

This thread just doesn't seem right without Davey Pitch.

I was just thinking that.
I remember the whole McDaniel vs Davey_Pitch thing going on about completing NGB first as well. Those were the days :).

Loving this, again!, if you own a PS3, you need to go get this game now!!
though one peculiar thing i have found is, you can't get back to the main menu from in the game

I think you can, the other day I pressed all the buttons and it ended the game and took me back to the menu. Don't know exactly which buttons I pressed, will try it later.

I'm on chapter 2 at the moment. Gonna play it a bit more later on, good game so far, gotta remember to block as its not God of War!

Brought it earlier today, now on chapter 6, never played the originals but I'm extremely impressed with it all round. Visually impressive (demo doesn't do it credit tbh) and runs smooth (60fps) with no flaws (that I've found anyway) :D

I wish I had a 1080P TV now :-/

IMO the fact that it runs at 60fps, and in 1080P looking this good I'm really looking forward to what the likes of Lair & Heavenly Sword have to offer :)

Give me a game of this quality every 6 weeks and as far as I'm concerned the rest can get delayed forever for all I care.

I've just beaten the boss on the top of the airship, really starting to enjoy this a lot more than I was over the last two days, I found chapter 2 really hard, but now i'm really starting to get used to the game mechanics and it's so much more enjoyable once you do.

Fantastic to look at, running it at 1080i here, very fluid and crisp.

Just got mine today, just wondering did everyone install the game to the HDD? Gotta use up my 160 GB HD somehow!

I did, though they didn't include the full install option like they where going too.
Oh and to get to the main menu you need to press start + select to kinda do a soft reset. Think it is the same in all games tbh.

You and me both mate, that guy on the horse was easy to beat, but those things that shoot at you were annoying. Took me and a mate about 30 mins just to beat him.

Are decaps really not in *** UK version? Ive been trying for ages to do them and cant.

Wasnt there a way around the censorship in other games by using a US save file? Anyone tried that or got confirmation it works? Was just a thought.
